Anyhoo... onto the review ;-)
Taylor Welch founded Inbound Closer, a digital training program that is popularized by sibling Payton. It shows you what to do to earn big commissions over the phone by selling high-ticket products like online courses, events, seminars, conferences, and memberships. The course includes webinars, pdf materials, mp3s, and exclusive access to their Facebook community where members discuss insights on getting the most out of the program.
Simply put, the course is going to show you how to get traffic to your products and close the sale through the phone. The founders note that you do not need to have prior experience to know how things work in the program because they teach you everything within 21 days, which is the length of the course. All you need is a phone and the training script they give you.
The course will teach you Inbound marketing, a technique you can exploit to generate leads from many different sources including blogs, podcasts, videos, infographics, white papers, social media, articles and eBooks to mention just a few.
The program is presented to you at 2 price points, one option at $97 and the other at $997. The higher price point is an upsell and the one that the course pushes you towards getting.
The goal is to show you how to find leads, and then convert them into paying customers via the phone.
Well, yes, you can make money by following what the program teaches you – phone closing. What Taylor and Payton teach is legit and it works, the only problem is, most people suck on the phone and won’t have the confidence to take the time to get good at this skill.
Remember, a lot of your success is not only about the information you’re learning but the action and practice you take daily.
If you sign up for the course, be ready for anything, including not making any money at all.
The course is structures into five modules as shown below;
⊛ Introduction – How to become a person who can find success
⊛ Module 1 – Adopting a Closer’s mindset
⊛ Module 2 – Self Empowerment
⊛ Module 3 – Introduction to Inbound closing
⊛ Module 4 – How to close with confidence
⊛ Module 5 – How to master objections
⊛ Module 6 – How to become a professional Closer
The Inbound Closer program will set you back about $97, one-time. This is the advertised cost. What they don’t tell you is that there are upsells that you will pay for once you sign-up.
Also, you will be required to upgrade to their accelerator course for you to access the Inbound coaching program. The closer certification program will cost you $997.
The first week will see you get many calls from a coach assigned to you. This person’s job isn’t necessarily to help you grow, but to get you to purchase their high-ticket upsells as many times as possible. Online reviews show that they have other upsells over and above the course they offer, and they are ridiculously priced – between $7,000 and $10,000.
This program would be suitable for the following groups:
⊛ Home makers
⊛ Anyone who wants to learn phone closing skills
Basically, there isn’t an ideal person for the job, but you need to be good at speaking to people to make in this space.
Over the years, I have scoured various courses that tell a similar tale. Commission Jumpstart's pricing? It is crazy reasonable. I’ve paid over $3,000 for the same content. The $297 cost is much better and provides similar, if not better, results.
⊛ $297 - course fee
⊛ $97 - Clickfunnels billed monthly
⊛ More or less $500 for ads
You'll likely have to cough up $1000 to start up. Your second month is when you should see profit IF you are a good student and you execute everything in the program.
Remember, if you don’t action anything you learn, the most amazing course in the world can’t help you!
The quality of their training is good
They have a refund policy
The course was set up by people with experience in the field
Information on their sales page is overhyped
There are hidden up-sells, especially if you want a client list
They promise a fast turnaround time, but that isn’t the case
Many of the reviews online are not good
Most people are not naturally good on the phone which makes this a hard skill to get good at
The program is legit, but they do overpromise things that they know most people will not achieve within the prescribed period. For instance, their introductory video says you can make six figures in just 21 days for just the $97 sign fee they are asking.
This is not a likely outcome, at least it won’t be for most of the students who sign up with them.
They offer you some how-to information and the training, but don’t give you access to clients who are hiring them to do various things on behalf. Instead, you will need to sweat it out to find clients for yourself which can be hard at the start.
We give this program a 3.5/5.
The training is decent although a bit hypey.
But the skill they teach can be very valuable IF this is the route you want to take.
Learning to speak to hot leads on the phone is a great way to make sales, but the problem is most people suck at closing on the phone and are terrified to try and close people.
So it really depends on your personality.
Also, there is a lot of work involved in this strategy and it is TIME CONSUMING.
If you are not speaking to leads on the phone, you won’t make any sales or money. So there is absolutely ZERO leverage with this strategy.
It is possible to make good money, but you’re sacrificing your time.
That’s not an option for me.
If you want to make money online, there are a few things you need to consider:
Barrier To Entry
There is one strategy that has ALL of this, and that’s Affiliate Marketing done this way.
This is the industry that allowed me to 5X my old work salary and quit that job in April 2019 and travel the world.
